7th Annual Swamp Fox Chili Cook-off and Olde Towne Marion Cornhole Tournament

Beneficiary Concept and Description

The 14TH ANNUAL SWAMP FOX CHILI COOK-OFF is a county-wide fundraising opportunity.  This is a one-of-a-kind benefit.

Beneficiaries are defined as: Any non-profit or not-for-profit organized group in Marion County who is willing to participate in this year's event and needing funds for their organization. To qualify as a participating beneficiary, the organization must agree to sell tickets with two firm stipulations.

Applications must be submitted and approved by February 1, 2024.  Please print the application and email to (hmra@theswampfox.org) or mail to HMRA, 103 E. Dozier Street, Marion, SC  29571.

Each qualified group's earning potential is only limited by their sales ability.  Qualifying organizations will be given Chili Cook-Off tickets to sell for $10.00 each.  Tickets are distributed in blocks of 20. Qualifying organizations may request up to 5 blocks. (Each group may want to start with one or two blocks and request more as needed).

Each group will be allowed to keep 50% of their total ticket sales. All tickets sold by organizations must be completed by Wednesday, February 21, 2024.

There are two firm stipulations that a qualifying organization must agree to in order to be a beneficiary participant.

1. The Swamp Fox Chili Cook-Off organizers REQUIRE a minimum of 2 volunteers to help with the event, either on a committee, or as a helper at the event, for a minimum of 1 hour.  Event hour for volunteers will begin at 9:00 am and end around 5:00 pm. We will have a Volunteer Coordinator that volunteers will report to.

2. All unsold tickets MUST be returned to HMRA on Thursday, February 22, 2024 by noon.  Any organizations found in breach of these conditions will not be allowed to participate in next year's chili cook-off. Event is produced and organized by the HISTORIC MARION REVITALIZATION ASSOCIATION.
